Monthly and Corporate Sponsorship
A monthly sponsorship offers continuous support the work of A Better Life for Foster Kids. We accept corporate sponsorships and can also place your business on our site in the ‘sponsors’ section. We are extremely grateful to all the local Gippsland businesses that currently support us. All sponsorships are tax deductible.
We particularly welcome corporate sponsors for our Others Do Care fund, which is a discretionary fund we use to help give children in care the opportunity to participate in normal childhood activities, such as dance classes or sporting groups. In 2017, 12 children were recipients of this fund, but we would like to extend it beyond this number.

Hold a Fundraiser or Event
Holding an event or fundraiser is a great way to raise awareness of the issues facing children in out-of-home-care and support the work we do. If you already belong to a school, community organisation or business, we’ll work with you to help you organise an event or fundraiser.

Donate Items
We warmly welcome donations of the following items:
Clothing, toiletries and toys
We supply suitcases of clothing, toiletries and toys to children entering a new placement. We are always in need of:
- New or lightly-used baby and children’s clothing (from newborn to 17 years)
- Packets of new underwear and socks
- Baby items, such as nappies, baby wipes, bottles, bibs and wraps
- Personal hygiene items, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair-brushes, hair-ties, tooth-floss, deodorant, toiletry bags and face-cloths
- Hats, scarves and jackets
- Water-bottles
- Knitted blankets or toys
- New toys, dolls or books
Furniture and Equipment
We supply carers with the furniture and equipment they need to take on a new placement. We also use these items to set-up and stock houses for children leaving care or families that need to relocate due to family violence.
We are always in need of items such as:
- Beds
- Baby equipment such as cribs, highchairs, prams and changing tables
- Other household furniture such as wardrobes, tables and sofas
- Appliances and electronics
- Bed linen such as sheets, blankets and doonas
We ask that all second-hand items be clean and in good condition. We are unfortunately no longer able to accept used toys.

Gift Cards
Gift cards are always appreciated as they allow us to cater to the specific needs of carers and children.
