We are so excited to have received a grant from Alinta Energy which will help us expand the reach of our Crisis Case services to new locations. The grant will help us set up a Crisis Case Depot in Koo Wee Rup, just over 60km from Melbourne’s CBD.
Koo Wee Rup is an ideal location for a Crisis Case donation drop off point and distribution depot, due to its proximity to Melbourne, to allow increased donation of goods from the more densely populated urban area, and to allow distribution of Crisis Cases to children entering out of home care placements in Melbourne’s outlying suburbs and surrounding regional areas.
This new Crisis Case Depot in Koo Wee Rup will also allow us to provide Crisis Case stock to more DHHS offices so caseworkers can grab and go when they need to.
Thank you to Alinta Energy, who have generously supported this initiative through their Community Grants Program. We look forward to providing updates throughout 2021!
(Please note, the Koo Wee Rup depot is not yet running. We are not able to take donations yet, but will keep you notified through our social media and this blog).
