A Better Life For Foster Kids has again been funded by the Wellington Shire Council grants this year, this time to help with the purchase of a covered-in trailer.

Each year we transport an enormous amount of Crisis Cases and large furniture to support carers to take on placements and to fit out new mums (care-leavers). And now that we have more Crisis Case Depots than ever and are also able to collect donated items from Koo Wee Rup, that’s a lot of trips across regional Victoria!

To help us get things to carers where and where they need them, we asked Wellington Shire Council to help us purchase a trailer, so we can take a much greater load on each trip. This saves our Founder Heather Baird time on the road too – time she can spend on our other projects, like camps for kids in out of home care, carer get togethers and helping carers with advocacy and support.

Thank you Wellington Shire Council for making this trailer purchase possible! It’s an essential piece of equipment for our ever growing organisation!

Other nonprofit organisations in the Sale area are welcome to get in touch if they would like to borrow the trailer.
